In news that will shock literally no one that has listened to the Papa’s Basement Show, I have been compulsively watching HBO’s newest program, The Night Of. And, for the most part, it is a relatively straightforward gritty crime thriller. That said, this previous Sunday’s episode (episode five) took what can only be described as a bizarre turn into black (pun intended) comedy with a scene depicting a coroner, a district attorney and an African-American corpse with a penis so large that it bent gravity around it. While corpses aren’t generally funny, this was the most hilarious stiff (again, pun intended) since Bernie.
And what’s better than a joke? Sharing that laugh with friends! So I “make” (he was more than willing once I explained the content) co-host Pete watch the clip and react live on-air. Am I exaggerating the scene? Listen to his take and find out!
